How recurring posts work

  • Every N days

Choose how often a post comes back, anywhere from every day to once a year.

  • Approved content only

Rules are built from approved posts, so nothing goes out that hasn’t already been signed off.

  • On the calendar like any post

Each run creates a scheduled post you can see, edit or cancel before it publishes.

  • Paused, not broken

If a run fails, the rule pauses and records why, instead of failing again on the next run.

  • Fills the gaps in your queue

Evergreen rules keep the queue from running dry between campaigns.

  • Included from Plus

Recurring and evergreen rules are part of Plus, Pro and Max.

How to set up an evergreen post

  1. Pick a post that worked

Start from an approved post you’d happily share again, such as a how-to, an answer to a common question or your best seller.

  2. Create the automation

In Automations, choose Recurring post or Evergreen recycle, give it a name and choose the source post.

  3. Set the rhythm

Enter how many days to wait between runs, and when the first run should be.

  4. Activate and check

Choose Activate automation. Each run appears as a scheduled post, and Run history shows what every run did.

Ideas for evergreen posts

  • Your most-asked questions

Turn the answers to questions customers keep asking into posts that come back every few weeks.

  • A signature product

Re-share your best seller once a month so new followers see it too.

  • Regular reminders

A weekly opening-hours post, or a monthly reminder to join your newsletter, that never gets forgotten.

Good to know

  • Recurring and evergreen rules are part of Plus, Pro and Max.
  • Only approved posts can be used as a source.
  • The gap between runs can be anything from 1 to 365 days.
  • If a run fails, the rule pauses until you turn it back on, so a broken rule never repeats its mistake.
