How approvals work

  • Approve before scheduling

With approvals on, a post can’t be scheduled or published until it’s approved.

  • Request changes

Reviewers send a post back with what needs fixing, and the author sees it straight away.

  • Client sign-off

Invite clients with the client role. They see only what needs their review.

  • One review queue

Everything waiting on someone is in one list, so nothing sits unnoticed.

  • AI drafts reviewed too

Posts drafted with the AI writer can be set to need approval before they go out.

  • A record of who approved

Every approval is recorded, so you can always see who signed off and when.

How to set up approvals

  1. Turn approvals on

In the workspace settings, require approval. You can also let clients approve, and send edited posts back for re-approval.

  2. Submit for review

Writers create the post and choose Submit for review instead of scheduling it.

  3. Approve or request changes

Reviewers open the review queue and choose Approve or Request changes, with a note for the author.

  4. Schedule once approved

An approved post can be scheduled or published as normal.

Three review flows

  • Client sign-off

An agency drafts the month, and the client approves it from their own login in one sitting.

  • A second pair of eyes

Every post written by a new team member goes past an editor before it goes out.

  • Regulated wording

Posts about prices or offers wait for someone who can check the wording.

Good to know

  • Owners and admins can approve, and so can clients unless you switch that off.
  • By default, posts drafted with the AI writer need approval too.
  • Starter includes one team member, so reviewers need Plus, Pro or Max.
